Employee Spotlight: Amanda Klug

This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Amanda Klug, a dedicated retail associate who has been part of the Goodwill family for 20 years. Amanda began her journey with us at the Ellis store as a part-time associate, and through her dedication, she has become cross-trained in nearly all aspects of retail store operations. Her love for her job and the positive energy she brings to the team are truly inspiring.

Before joining Goodwill, Amanda worked at other retail stores, but it’s here that she found a community she’s deeply connected to. “I see the difference Goodwill is making in the community,” Amanda says. “There are so many stories of how Goodwill has impacted people’s lives for the better.”

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with the women at her church, Beacon Light Community Church. She shares how the pastors' wives have played a significant role in her life, admiring their strength and perseverance. “They are good examples of what God can do,” Amanda reflects. Her personal motto, rooted in faith, is “love more, worry less.” One of her favorite Bible verses is from 1 Corinthians 13:13: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

In her spare time, Amanda loves experimenting with breakfast foods and has a special talent for creating delicious meals from leftovers. Amanda also enjoys collecting cookbooks to inspire her culinary adventures.

Amanda lives with her fiancé, Chuck, and their three beloved dogs—Zoey, ZoZo, and Mocha. Her warmth, compassion, and hard work have touched the lives of many, both at work and in her community.
