Goodwill's state-of-the-art Computer Center offers computer-based training in a broad range of software applications and adult basic education. Supporting the learning needs of persons who are unemployed and have limited technical skills, as well as those who are employed and need to upgrade their skills, the Center serves persons at all levels. With one-on-one training from an instructor, participants work at their own pace at individual computer stations. All computers have high-speed Internet connection.

An assistive technology learning station is available with assistive technology software, large-key keyboard, Braille keypads, and a trackball mouse. All stations are wheelchair accessible and ergonomically correct.

Goodwill offers training in:

  • basic mouse and computer skills
  • using Windows effectively
  • keyboarding (beginning to advanced)
  • Microsoft Office Proffesional
  • Word
  • Excel
  • Access
  • PowerPoint
  • Publisher
  • Outlook
  • FrontPage
  • how to use the Internet
  • e-mail instruction
  • beginning HTML and web design
  • basic math and reading
  • Computer Office Training: includes basics of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel with certificate of completion at the successful conclusion.
