Goodwill Industries of West Michigan is a qualified 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. If you itemize your deductions on your federal tax return, you are entitled to claim a deduction for your donations to Goodwill.

Goodwill Industries International offers all Goodwill organization members an online donation service on its web site whereby donors can make safe and secure donation online using their credit card.

Mail Donation
Donations by mail are always welcome! Contribute by check, money order, or credit card (VISA or MasterCard). Make checks payable to “Goodwill Industries of West Michigan.” Print and complete the mail-in donation form below and mail in with your payment or simply provide your name, address and other relevant information to our headquarter facility:

Goodwill Industries of West Michigan Endowment Fund
Another giving option is contributing to the Goodwill Industries of West Michigan Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation for Muskegon County.
Taxpayers can generate a total contribution to the Community Foundation worth more than three times the actual out-of-pocket cost via the Michigan Tax Credit for Community Foundations.
For both individuals and corporations, the law permits a taxpayer to reduce Michigan Income Tax or Single Business Tax liability by a credit of 50% of the amount contributed to a community foundation, subject to a maximum credit of:
- $100 for an individual filing singly (based on a $200 contribution)
- $200 for a married couple fling jointly (for a $400 contribution)
- $5,000 or 10% of tax liability before claiming any credits, whichever is less, for a resident estate or trust. (for a $10,000 contribution)
- $5,000 or 5% of tax liability before claiming any credits, whichever is less, for taxpayers filing Michigan Single Business Tax returns. (for a $10,000 contribution)

Mail to: CFMC, 425 West Western Avenue, Suite 200, Muskegon, MI 49440 or donate online at www.cffmc.org and type in “Goodwill” in the “Specific Fund” box.
Planned Giving
There are many ways to make a lasting gift to Goodwill. One of the most common ways is through a will or living trust. Many people set aside a certain dollar amount they want to leave to Goodwill. Others leave a percentage of their estate or assets. Some simply choose to designate Goodwill Industries of West Michigan as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan.
