GoodTemps hires new manager

MUSKEGON, MI — GoodTemps, Inc., a subsidiary of Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, recently hired Jay D. Wallace as the staffing agency’s new manager. Wallace stepped down from a successful 30-year management career at The Muskegon Chronicle to accept the position.

“We feel extremely fortunate to have a person of Jay’s demonstrated track record in leadership and organizational development on our team,” said Goodwill President and CEO Richard J. Carlson. “His commitment to quality and growth, combined with his knowledge of the West Michigan business community will greatly help us take GoodTemps to the next level.”

GoodTemps is a temporary employment agency fulfilling a variety of short- and long-term personnel needs for area businesses. Recognized for its outstanding customer service, GoodTemps services are competitively priced, quality assured, and unlike other agencies there are no fees or waiting periods for permanent hires. B.C. Thompson, GoodTemps’ manager since 2004, is stepping down to retire.

GoodTemps was recently awarded a Three-Year Accreditation from CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) for Employment Services: Personnel Services to Employers. A Three-Year Accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization, and illustrates GoodTemps’ conformance to CARF’s rigorous conditions and standards of quality. CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body that establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
