Goodwill hires new Community Services Manager for its Workforce Development Division

MUSKEGON, MI — Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, recently hired Lori Blamer as its new Community Services Manager for its Workforce Development Division.

Blamer will oversee daily operations at the Goodwill Industries Workforce Development Center – Michigan Works! Service Center at 950 West Norton Avenue in Muskegon.

“Lori has a strong and diverse skill set for this very demanding leadership role,” said Goodwill Workforce Development Director Thomas Griffin.
Lori’s well-rounded business background includes experience in management, finance, customer service, curriculum development, and education and training. She holds a bachelor of science degree specializing in general business, and a master of business administration.

The mission of Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, Inc. is to provide work opportunities and skill development for people with barriers to employment. In 2008 alone, Goodwill provided employment and training services to 11,544 persons in West Michigan.
